I Salute Them!

They are the ones for whom clattering keyboards are the most melodious music they've ever heard. Most of them have ridiculous passions, totally out-of-the-box. They don't give a damn if anyone laughs at them and many do laugh at them. They work day, they work night. They just don't give a damn.
They are a community. They work for a goal they know is worth it. They are non- academics. Their GPAs suck like anything. They don't have a career in million-dollar-paying firms like Microsoft and they know it. But again, they don't give a damn.
Their have conventionally ridiculous haircuts (sometimes, they don't have haircuts). They haven't had bath for weeks now. They've been straining their eyes day in and day out. Their monitors are more worked out than the fluorescent bulb that went off yesterday and they didn't have time to get it replaced. They are forgetful. //But they didn't forget an incomplete module in 3641th line of the fifth module that they had commented out//. They forget the birthdays of their girlfriends. They forget things like scooter keys. They bunked the lectures last week. They don't learn anything from academics. They're not just non- academics, they're anti- academics. They don't give a damn.
They understand how short the life is and how much is to be done.
They are the coders from the Open Source community who turn themselves into coding machines so that humans like us are at convenience.
They are the people I look up to.
They are the people I salute...
